On Sunday, 26 January 2025, we will be gathering at Bondi Beach for a quiet reflection at sunrise to commemorate our First Nations community. Attendees will experience cultural expression from local Knowledge Holders and artists, including:

  • Aunty Lola Ryan conducting a Welcome to Country and reflecting in her own words, what the day means to her.
  • Bondi artist and performer, Walangari playing the Digeridoo.
  • The Gamay dancers with traditional dance from the local area and a Smoking ceremony.
  • The Wagana Dancers performing contemporary and traditional dance.

All members of the community are welcome to join the Dawn Reflection as we acknowledge the resilience and survival of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their continuous connection to Country and culture as the Traditional Custodians of this land.

A breakfast BBQ by gold coin donation, with be held at Bondi Surf Bathers' Life Saving Club straight after the event. All funds will be donated to the GO Foundation.
