A fantastic evening of conversation as two powerhouses of contemporary Australian media, Brooke Boney and Lucinda Price (Froomes), delve into All of It. This event will commence with a very special introduction by actor and writer Nakkiah Lui, curator of Joan Press.

Brooke Boney shares her most personal stories in her brilliant debut book All of It, a vivid and intimate read. Brooke's collection of essays draw us into her world, as she writes with honesty, humour and empathy about everything from the downsides of having a public profile to the joys of owning dogs, from the various forms of love that make up a life - romantic, familial, platonic - to how that love has been sustained through generations of colonisation and violence, and from the concerns that make up your early thirties - fertility, ageing, career progression - to discovering what's actually worth fighting for.

Brooke Boney, proud Gamilaroi woman, is a journalist and broadcaster. Best known for her role as TODAY's News and Entertainment Presenter for the Nine Network, Brooke has a background in pollical journalism and a huge passion for igniting discussion around Indigenous Affairs. Having previously worked for National Indigenous Television (NITV), SBS and the ABC, Brooke joined the TODAY Show in 2019 after her role as Triple J’s weekday morning news presenter. In July 2024, Brooke made the decision the leave the Nine Network to study her Masters of Public Policy at Oxford University in the UK.

Lucinda Price is the CEO of FROOMESWORLD, an international one-woman business specialising in all aspects of original content production. She has amassed a cult following online and earned an AACTA nomination for Best Digital Creator of 2022. Her writing work has appeared in The Guardian, The Sydney Morning Herald and Pedestrian. She has also written for the 2021 ARIA Awards and ABC’s Question Everything and been a host on MTV Australia. Formerly the co-host of radio show and award-winning podcast Flex and Froomes, she has also hosted multiple limited series podcasts including Where Are All The Baby Pigeons for Nova.

Nakkiah Lui, a Gamilaroi and Torres Strait Islander woman, is a writer, actor and director. Nakkiah is the curator of Joan Press, named after Lui’s grandmother Joan. Founded in 2020, with the ambition of supporting and amplifying new and different types of storytelling Joan publishes books across all genres and forms. Each Joan title creates space for voices that get pushed to the fringes; voices that challenge and interrogate the world around them. Joan Press recognises that storytelling is both the legacy and the future of any community, and aims to be a home for stories and storytellers who are redefining the mainstream in a way that is radical, inclusive and bold.

“A stunningly written meditation on fame, womanhood, Indigenous identity and the intersection of all three. Boney is an outstanding writer—every sentence is imbued with warmth and searing honesty . . . I can't recommend it highly enough.”
